Our chat with Neale O’Connell, Global Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Travel Management
It was great to finally capture a Coffee Conversation in person, as Steve Healey caught up with Global CFO of Corporate Travel Management, Mr. Neale O’Connell.
In their chat, Neale shares with Steve the journey taken by CTM over the past 6 months as the company responded to global lockdowns, resulting in the redundancy of approximately 1000 staff members. Making the process more difficult was the inability to have difficult conversations in person with those team members impacted, as everyone worked remotely through the complex process to bring the company’s cost base down.
Neale also explains the need to reshape the business to be predominantly domestic travel-focused for the foreseeable future and identifying opportunities to continue to generate revenue through this time through essential services clients.
