The Industry Growth Program supports small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking to commercialise or grow into new markets for innovative products, processes or services in the following sectors:

Value-add in resources (e.g. manufacturing supporting products, mineral processing)
Value-add in agriculture, forestry and fisheries (e.g. manufacturing supporting products, primary processing)
Transport
Medical science
Defence
Renewables and low emissions technologies, including recycling
Enabling capabilities (e.g. advanced manufacturing, AI, quantum, robotics and other advanced technologies)

Specifically, grant funds will be available to support:

Early-stage commercialisation projects (e.g. feasibility studies, proof-of-concept and prototype testing)
Commercialisation and growth projects (e.g. scaling from early prototyping to full production and market growth)

How much is available?

Available grant funding includes:

Up to $250,000 towards early-stage commercialisation projects
Up to $5 million towards commercialisation and growth projects

Who can apply for the Industry Growth Program?

Incorporated companies
Co-operatives
Incorporated trustees on behalf of a trust

Applicants must:

Have a group turnover of less than $20 million for each of the previous three financial years
Apply for the advisory stage to be eligible for grant funding in 2024.
