The Industry Growth Program supports small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking to commercialise or grow into new markets for innovative products, processes or services in the following sectors:

  • Value-add in resources (e.g. manufacturing supporting products, mineral processing)
  • Value-add in agriculture, forestry and fisheries (e.g. manufacturing supporting products, primary processing)
  • Transport
  • Medical science
  • Defence
  • Renewables and low emissions technologies, including recycling
  • Enabling capabilities (e.g. advanced manufacturing, AI, quantum, robotics and other advanced technologies)
     

Specifically, grant funds will be available to support:

  • Early-stage commercialisation projects (e.g. feasibility studies, proof-of-concept and prototype testing)
  • Commercialisation and growth projects (e.g. scaling from early prototyping to full production and market growth)

 

How much is available?

Available grant funding includes:

Up to $250,000 towards early-stage commercialisation projects
Up to $5 million towards commercialisation and growth projects

 

Who can apply for the Industry Growth Program?

  • Incorporated companies
  • Co-operatives
  • Incorporated trustees on behalf of a trust
     

Applicants must:

  • Have a group turnover of less than $20 million for each of the previous three financial years
  • Apply for the advisory stage to be eligible for grant funding in 2024.
