The Climate-Smart Agriculture Program’s Capacity Building Grant supports initiatives that provide farmers with improved access to knowledge and skills in best practice sustainable agriculture.

Round Two of the Federal Government’s Climate-Smart Agriculture Program’s Capacity Building Grant. This grant is open to a wide range of organisational types but is particularly well suited to grower groups, farmer groups, academia NRM and other such bodies with a Research, Development & Extension (RD&E) mandate.
The Climate-Smart Agriculture Program’s Capacity Building Grant supports initiatives that provide farmers with improved access to knowledge and skills in best practice sustainable agriculture.
Projects should align with one of the following intended outcomes:
- Enhance farmers and land holders’ knowledge and skills in climate-smart sustainable agriculture;
- Increase capacity of communities, Landcare groups, First Nations groups and industry partnerships to support farmers; or
- Promote adoption of proven climate-smart and sustainable agriculture practices at scale.
Grants range between $250,000 and $3 million. The total funding pool is $16.6 million.
