The Manufacturing Hubs Grant Program – Round 4 offers grants of up to $500,000 to SME manufacturers in the following regions:
Cairns
Townsville
Central Queensland
Mackay
Gold Coast
The Manufacturing Hubs Grant Program (MHGP) supports regional Queensland small-to-medium enterprise (SME) manufacturers to build advanced manufacturing capabilities through:
- Adopting state-of-the-art technologies that increase productivity, competitiveness, job creation and sustainability benefits;
- Upskilling personnel in advanced manufacturing technologies and management methodologies; and
- Business development activities to grow organisation and markets.
MHGP Round 4 specifically supports projects in the following manufacturing sectors:
- Key manufacturing sectors for each region (see page 1 of guidelines)
- Renewables manufacturing
- Olympic Games supply chains
- Manufactured housing.
The total pool is $5 million. Grants of between $10,000 and $500,000 are available, and can cover up to 50% of project costs.
An applicant must be:
Queensland-registered for-profit manufacturing businesses that have:
- An ABN and are GST-registered;
- 5 - 200 FTE employees (at least 5 FTE based in Queensland);
- Operated in Queensland for > 3 consecutive years;
- Main operations and project site located in one of the below SA4 regions:
- Cairns
- Townsville
- Central Queensland (including Gladstone and Rockhampton)
- Mackay
- Gold Coast.
Projects must be completed within 12 months of executing a grant agreement.
Applications close on 30 June 2025.
