The Quad Clean Energy Supply Chain Diversification Program will offer grants of up to $2.5 million to projects involving both Australian and Indo-Pacific organisations.
The Quad Grant will support projects that strengthen Indo-Pacific solar PV, hydrogen electrolyser and battery supply chains by addressing:
- Raw material processing
- Component manufacturing (e.g. polysilicon, ingot/wafer, cells, cathode and anode materials, electrolytes, separators)
- Assembly (e.g. cells to produce PV modules, battery cell production, battery pack assembly, electrolyser fabrication)
- Recycling (e.g. recovery of materials, metals and critical minerals in cathodes/anodes).
Funding will be available across two streams:
- Research and development projects: to improve supply chain efficiencies, lower costs or reduce material dependencies
- Feasibility study projects: to support business case development for a new facility in the Indo-Pacific.
The total pool is $25 million. Grants of between $100,000 and $2.5 million are available and cover up to 95% of project costs.
The following Australian organisations can apply on behalf of a consortium:
- Incorporated entities
- Companies limited by guarantee
- Indigenous Corporations
- Co-operatives
- Incorporated not-for-profit organisations / charities
- Publicly funded research organisations
