As part of the 2022 Federal Budget, it was announced that small business entities would be entitled to a full deduction PLUS an additional 20% bonus deduction in relation to eligible technology, skills, and training expenditure.

Totalling a 120% deduction, a spend cap of $100,000 per annum will be applied to technology, however no cap would apply to skills and training expenditure.

Businesses should understand that not only is the cost of the technology eligible for the bonus deduction, but you can also apply this to any training required for the new technology.120% deduction available for your investment in technology, business skills and training

Until the legislation is presented, we do not have further details of what might be eligible expenditure outside of what is contained in this article.
