NDIS Financial Modelling and Analytics
Disability Services funding has moved from “block funding” to “fee-for-service”, which has created revenue uncertainty for businesses.
Financial modelling brings certainty back into planning your business.
Understanding how the business is performing against price benchmarks helps mitigate long term risk. Financial modelling can help you understand how to grow your NDIS business sustainably and provide evidence-based analysis to inform your business decisions.
RSM have a wealth of experience in understanding NDIS costing and pricing, having undertaken more than 50 different financial modelling projects for the NDIS. We have a comprehensive understanding of NDIS business performance and efficiency for providers operating across metropolitan, regional and rural / remote markets.
Our team’s financial modelling capability includes activity-based costing (ABC), unit costing and three-way financial modelling using Modano Forecasting.
We use ABC and unit costing to derive the cost to produce one unit of product or “service” and benchmark this against the industry price to understand if your business model can deliver a surplus. We use unit costing analysis in conjunction with the NDIS price model to identify the key areas of improvement, such as staff utilisation, wage prices and overheads.
RSM have provided industry wide NDIS financial modelling tools on behalf of peak bodies and Government programs in the ACT and Victoria and conducted successful training and implementation programs with providers.
