Life in Regional Australia is an extraordinary journey, and we're thrilled to have you on board as a valued member of our local community.
This year has been one of significant growth and achievement for RSM Australia. We are proud to announce that we have won the Client Choice Awards for 2024, marking our sixth consecutive year of receiving this honour.
Furthermore, we are delighted to introduce our new in-house economist, Devika Shivadekar. Devika has been diligently monitoring key macroeconomic indicators and has had the pleasure of visiting many RSM offices across Australia to share her insights, including regional areas such as Moora in Western Australia and Toowoomba in Queensland.
Our national growth continues with our national staff numbers surpassing 1,800 and our ranking in the AFR soaring to #7. Additionally, we have bolstered our suite of services in Data & Analytics, Cyber Security, and dedicated ESG Consulting, further solidifying our commitment to providing comprehensive and cutting-edge solutions.
Locally, we have been actively participating in the Rockingham Kwinana and Peel Chambers of Commerce events.
Highlights include launching our Perth and PaRK office Defence Team, taking part in the Mandurah Biz Fest, Key Leaders in Business breakfast events, and testing our skills (or lack thereof) at the golf days! And on a personal note, I am proud to share that I have joined the boards of the Peel Community Foundation and SwissCham on a voluntary basis. It is an honour to contribute to these organisations and support our community in new ways.

CLIENT CHOICE AWARD WINNERS
We are thrilled to announce that RSM has once again been honoured with the prestigious Client Choice Award for the Best Accounting and Consulting Services Firm (>$200m) in 2024.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that RSM has been recognised for its unparalleled dedication to client service excellence.
In addition to winning the Best Accounting & Consulting Services Firm (>$200m) category for the sixth year in a row, we have also been awarded first place in three other categories:
- Best Professional Services Firm (>$200m revenue)
- Best Provider to Mining, Oil & Gas
- Best Provider of ESG Services: Accounting & Consulting Services
TEAM NEWS
Our team has been very busy over the past six months. We attended and hosted numerous events in our PaRK region, where we had the opportunity to network with local businesses and community leaders.
Some notable events we participated in include:
- International Women's Day celebrations at Rustico Tapas Bar.
- Key leaders in business breakfast events.
- Golf days, where we had fun attempting to play golf, although it turns out we are not golfers. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the challenge and the company.
- Mandurah Biz Fest, where we had a stall and gave away a prize to a local business – Coastal Law were the lucky winners.
- We also attended several Tourism Council WA events throughout the year.
Additionally, we hosted our own Business After Hours event to showcase our Defence industry services and participated in the RKCC Mineral Resources Regional Business Awards.
A standout event for us was our Real Estate gathering, co-hosted with Momentum Wealth. We had the pleasure of hearing from Damien Collins, former REIWA president, who shared his insights on the WA property market. Katie Timms also delivered a compelling presentation on property in SMSFs.
Lastly, we launched our Perth and PaRK office Defence Team at the August Rockingham-Kwinana Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event.
This initiative represents our commitment to serving and supporting the Defence sector within our community.
In team news, we would like to offer congratulations to Indu Poudel, one of our accountants, who welcomed a baby girl in 2023. We are delighted for Indu and her family.
We also celebrated Leesa Darby's 40th birthday in March. Happy birthday, Leesa!
We are proud of our staff who are sitting their final CPA exams and those who are starting their CA exams for the first time. We know how hard they have been studying and we wish them all the best.
