An applicant must be a GST- and ABN-registered business that is: based in ACT; or have a proposed project with the majority of activities within ACT.
Grants of $50,000 to $1 million towards up to 50% of project costs.

The ACT Energy Innovation Fund - Round 4 - Technology Demonstration grant provides funding of up to $1 million towards energy innovation projects in the ACT.
The Energy Innovation Fund (EIF) seeks to enable an innovative, commercially viable energy transition by supporting ACT-based projects that:
- Have export potential beyond ACT
- Accelerate research, development and commercialisation of innovative renewable energy technologies
- Translate research into commercial outcomes
- Facilitate industry-research collaborations; and/or
- Grow and develop ACT’s renewable energy sector.
Examples of projects can include:
- Emerging storage technologies
- Innovative electricity demand-side solutions
- Innovative business models for zero emissions transport.
