The Local Community Fund – Central-West Orana REZ program offers funding of up to $1 million towards community programs, services and infrastructure in the Central-West Orana REZ of NSW.
The Local Community Fund (LCF) seeks to fund projects which benefit communities in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, including:
- Infrastructure construction or upgrades that address social, cultural, environmental or recreational needs, such as:
- Sport and recreational infrastructure
- Parks
- Tourism, arts and cultural facilities
- Community asset upgrades for disaster preparedness
- Social housing infrastructure improvements
- Facilities for delivery of community programs or social services
- Community renewable energy and environmental infrastructure (e.g. EV charging stations, solar panel installation)
- Improving community access to programs or services (e.g. health services, sport and recreation and social programs); or
- Supporting community renewable energy and environmental improvement programs.
Grants of $50k to $1 million towards up to 100% of project costs.
An applicant must be:
- Incorporated not-for-profit organisations
- Local Aboriginal Land Councils
- Incorporated Aboriginal community organisations
- Local councils (in partnership with a community project) and local government committees (via local council application).
- Projects must deliver benefits to communities in the Central-West Orana REZ.
Applications close on 23 September 2024.
