The Local Community Fund – Central-West Orana REZ program offers funding of up to $1 million towards community programs, services and infrastructure in the Central-West Orana REZ of NSW.

The Local Community Fund (LCF) seeks to fund projects which benefit communities in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, including:

  • Infrastructure construction or upgrades that address social, cultural, environmental or recreational needs, such as:
    • Sport and recreational infrastructure
    • Parks
    • Tourism, arts and cultural facilities
    • Community asset upgrades for disaster preparedness
    • Social housing infrastructure improvements
    • Facilities for delivery of community programs or social services
    • Community renewable energy and environmental infrastructure (e.g. EV charging stations, solar panel installation)
  • Improving community access to programs or services (e.g. health services, sport and recreation and social programs); or
  • Supporting community renewable energy and environmental improvement programs.

Grants of $50k to $1 million towards up to 100% of project costs.

An applicant must be:

  • Incorporated not-for-profit organisations
  • Local Aboriginal Land Councils
  • Incorporated Aboriginal community organisations
  • Local councils (in partnership with a community project) and local government committees (via local council application).
  • Projects must deliver benefits to communities in the Central-West Orana REZ.
