The FDF: Resilient Landscapes Program supports long-term, collaborative agricultural projects that implement technology.

The FDF: Resilient Landscapes Program supports long-term, collaborative agricultural projects that implement technologies or approaches to:

  • Achieve transformational natural resource management at landscape scale
  • Build resilience to prepare for and quickly recover from drought and climate impacts, including:
  • Environmental resilience (e.g. management of soil nutrients, groundcover, vegetation, biomass)
  • Social resilience (e.g. wellbeing, community cohesion)
  • Economic resilience (e.g. revenue, cash flow).
  • Provide ecosystem services for the public (e.g. transformation of land and other environmental assets into clean air, water and food).

The total funding pool is $40 million. Grants of $2 million to $6 million are available and cover up to 100% of project costs.

Note: applicants are encouraged to make a cash or in-kind contribution to the project.

Projects must be delivered by a consortium of at least 2 entities. The lead applicant must have an ABN and be one of the following entities:

  • Companies
  • Cooperatives
  • Corporate Commonwealth entities
  • Corporate/non-corporate State/Territory entities
  • Incorporated associations
  • Indigenous Corporations
  • Local governments
  • Non-corporate State/Territory Statutory Authorities
  • Statutory Entities.
