RSM's local newsletter.
As we are back from the holiday break, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your trust and partnership throughout the year.
We love working with you and look forward to continuing our partnership.
We have been busy in the Albany office since Dean Carnaby’s retirement earlier in the year, with Jo Gilbert and her team working hard to support Dean's major clients during the transition period.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts with our offices in Narrogin and Katanning, this transition has gone smoothly. This is another great example of how we all come together as one team to help each other. We also celebrated Acacia Green from our Business Advisory team, who will soon be heading on maternity leave to become a first-time mother.
As always, we have included some insights and resources we think will be of particular value to you over the coming months.

TEAM NEWS
The new financial year started off busily for Jo, who travelled across South Australia with the Grains Research and Development Corporation.
There, she engaged with farmers and other industry professionals about farm machinery replacement strategies and depreciation at the Farm Business Updates.
The event, held in Kadina and Freeling, allowed Jo to explore the South Australian countryside. Jo also had the opportunity to share the stage with her second cousin, Luke Clark, a local farmer from Jamestown, and was fortunate to bring her family along for the trip. Her children, Henry and Lewis, each spent a day at the conference, getting a glimpse of what their mum does at work.
In another commendable initiative, the Shire of Cranbrook and Bendigo Bank brought the farming community together to foster connections and support.
The Rural Resilience gathering featured impactful talks from Kendall of the Blue Tree Project and Warren Davies, known as The Unbreakable Farmer, who highlighted their commitment to raising awareness about mental health in rural areas.
Despite ongoing challenges with regional services, the gathering provided a much-needed opportunity for the community to come together for a chat, a laugh, and enjoy burgers and beers around a warm fire. Local musician Andy Bradshaw filled the atmosphere with his music. Wendy and Jo were particularly grateful for the invitation, with Wendy’s door-prize win making the event even more memorable.
