RSM World Day

Today is RSM World Day 2023, a day where we celebrate our global network of RSM professionals who share a common vision and values.

Across more than 120 countries, we honour this year's theme of 'Knowledge is Power' while demonstrating our commitment to #SDG4, quality education for all.

As an organisation centred around delivering insight and sharing knowledge, we recognise the importance of education in realising potential. Education doesn’t just provide knowledge, it creates thinkers, inventors, problem solvers, and opportunity. Not only can education give more power, but it can also create more happiness too.

Education breaks down barriers for greater human understanding, empathy, and empowerment, which in turn drives positive impactful change. Sadly, not everyone has the opportunity to receive an education, and the world is full of gaps in learning and opportunity – gaps that create some of the biggest problems in the world today. Knowledge has the power to help bridge those gaps, broaden horizons and open doors.

For RSM World Day this year, colleagues across our global network were challenged to consider how we can use education and knowledge to changes lives. Firms are participating in a variety of inspiring initiatives from teaching financial literacy in the US, Puerto Rico and East Africa, supporting primary school children to read in the UK, Australia and South Africa, giving donations of school materials and supplies in Italy, Thailand and Egypt and delivering pro bono work in Cyprus, Denmark and Brazil.

Today, at RSM Australia we come together with our global colleagues to celebrate the power of knowledge. RSM Australia has organised various fundraising events for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, a charity that aims to improve literacy outcomes for Indigenous children and communities. From book swaps to morning teas, our offices around Australia are having a lot of fun and raising money for a great cause.

We are proud to be part of the RSM family and to support our Indigenous brothers and sisters.
