Prior to joining RSM, Cooper began his career in Adelaide, where he gained valuable experience before relocating to Port Lincoln. This move allowed him to further build his expertise and continue delivering high-quality financial solutions. Cooper aims to attract middle market and regional SMEs, recognising that these businesses often face unique financial and operational challenges.

A notable example of Cooper’s impact is his work with a client involved in farming, butchering and selling their own beef and sheep. He developed a comprehensive cost-tracking spreadsheet that enabled the client to monitor every expense from the farm to the butchery. This tool provided clarity on the exact profit margins for each butchered animal, considering all input costs. Consequently, the client was able to make more informed pricing and operational decisions, which led to improved profitability and efficiency.

Cooper is renowned for his precision and analytical skills, bringing a high level of accuracy to every financial task he undertakes. He offers a range of solutions, including Xero tips for optimizing accounting processes, guidance on improving operational efficiency, expert tax advice and cash flow budgeting strategies, all aimed at helping businesses manage their finances more effectively.

When not at work, Cooper is deeply passionate about surfing. He also dedicates time to CrossFit, embracing the challenge of high-intensity workouts and the sense of achievement they bring. Additionally, Cooper loves spending quality time with his dog, finding joy and relaxation in their companionship.

Signficant projects

Cooper developed an in-depth Return on Investment (ROI) analysis along with a detailed profitability analysis for a proposal to open Australia's first large-scale ready-to-eat seafood processing factory. He also designed and implemented a weekly profitability analysis for an aquaculture farm and factory, utilising three-month rolling averages based on monthly profit figures and weekly factory output.
