Before joining RSM, Steven Priest was a partner at Chamberlains SBR Chartered Accountants servicing regional New South Wales and Victoria. 

Together with his business partner, he successfully established and managed a boutique insolvency and turnaround practice. In this role, Steven earned a reputation for his ability to simplify complex insolvency matters, guiding clients through financial distress with clarity and assurance. He worked closely with accountants, business owners, and stakeholders to develop tailored restructuring strategies that addressed immediate challenges and set businesses on a path to long-term stability. Earlier in his career, Steven spent five years with a leading accounting firm in Wagga Wagga, specialising in taxation and audit services for rural-based clients. This experience gave him valuable insight into the unique challenges faced by regional businesses, including fluctuating market conditions, limited access to resources, and the pressures of running family-owned enterprises. It also sharpened his ability to create practical, client-focused solutions that meet the distinct needs of regional communities.

Steven’s extensive experience spans assisting large corporations and supporting small regional businesses through financial difficulties.
