Tristana Steedman
Tristana is a Registered Liquidator and Registered Trustee in the national Restructuring and Recovery division, based in Melbourne.
She has decades of experience supporting individuals, company directors, and creditors through complex restructuring and recovery situations.
Tristana began her career as a graduate in the mid-1990s, working locally and internationally as an insolvency practitioner. Her motivation led her to become one in only a small group of women in Australia who are both a registered liquidator and registered trustee in bankruptcy.
She enjoys working closely with clients to develop solutions that provide the best possible outcome. Tristana values clear and honest advice; helping her clients understand the law and their options.
“Restructuring and recovery is about taking a step back. We are the calm voice in situations that often appear to be all doom and gloom, and can help our clients see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. In a trustee capacity, we’re very aware that we’re in a fiduciary role and take extra care to act with integrity and sensitivity throughout the process.”
Tristana has a keen ability to carefully manage expectations and relationships between conflicting parties. She builds strong rapport with stakeholders to minimise discord, and draws on her experience to overcome challenges and move towards successful resolutions.
When she’s not working, you’ll find Tristana spending her Saturday mornings watching her kids play sport, or enjoying a bit of retail therapy.
