TEAM NEWS
Since the end of the financial year, the Ballarat office has celebrated several important milestones.
Please join us in congratulating Shane Turner (15 years), Matt Callahan (10 years), Amy Robertson, Shane Bicknell, Keren Buckland, Hugo Tolliday, Bridget Dyer, and Christopher Dovaston (5 years each) for their years of dedicated service to RSM. We are also excited to welcome Andy Diep, an undergraduate who joined our team in July.
In August, our team had the privilege of representing RSM Australia at the Ballarat Business Excellence Awards, an annual event jointly hosted by Federation University and Commerce Ballarat. It was a true honour to be nominated as a finalist in the Nevett Wilkinson Frawley Large Business category, standing alongside some of Ballarat’s finest businesses.
We also participated in the Federation University Australia Open Day where several team members represented RSM and shared insights about exciting opportunities with us to prospective and current students.
These events reflect our commitment to supporting both our people and the local community as we continue to grow and evolve.
Our office was also proud to support Futsal Ballarat's Vic Country Warriors on their USA tour, with the team achieving an incredible milestone, winning the silver medal! In July, Director Karla Treweek demonstrated impressive dedication and mental toughness, travelling to participate in the 2024 Gold Coast Marathon. Assistant Manager Damon Sutton also took on an extraordinary challenge, participating in the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb, where he scaled 28 floors while carrying 25kgs of gear.
In support of Blood Cancer Awareness Month, our team dressed in footy colours to raise awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation. To wrap up the month, we celebrated the long weekend with a fun-filled night of Musical Bingo at Hop Temple Ballarat, with all proceeds from the event going to Food from Kindness Ballarat. While we didn't have any winners, the evening was a great success, with everyone enjoying the festivities and supporting a great cause.
