TEAM NEWS
We kicked off our busy year by attending the Key Leaders in Breakfast hosted by the City of Rockingham, where Mark McGowan was the keynote speaker. It was an inspiring event that provided valuable insights and networking opportunities.
We are thrilled to announce that Tom and Laura were both nominees at the Rockingham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, with both of them being chosen as the top five finalists for Employee of the Year (Laura) and Business Person of the Year (Tom). This recognition from our local business community means a lot to us, and we are incredibly proud of their achievements.
In August 2024, we ran a Xero workshop, which was well-received by the participants. Due to its success, we held another workshop in November 2024, continuing our commitment to providing valuable resources and training to our clients.
August was also a month of giving back, as we collected supplies to donate to the Winter Appeal for Homelessness Awareness. Our team came together to support this important cause, demonstrating our dedication to helping those in need.
Josie had the honour of presenting the RSM Mathematics Scholarship award at the Rockingham Senior High School awards night. It was a proud moment for us to support and encourage young talent in our community. With the mathematics talent attending on the night, there were definitely some future accountants in our presence.
We celebrated a significant milestone with Marg Young, who has been with RSM Australia for an amazing 30 years! Marg spent 10 years in the RSM head office before moving to Mandurah and joining us in the PaRK office after the merge. Marg, we think you are awesome and appreciate everything you do!
In September, we participated in Steptember, with team ‘Scrambled Legs’ – Marg, Chris, and Albert – taking out this year’s competition. Together, they stepped a whopping 1,010,009 steps over the month! Steptember is a great cause that raises awareness and funds for those living with Cerebral Palsy. As an office, we stepped a total of 4,137,065 steps and made the most of our beachside location with lots of lunchtime walks.
We also proudly sponsored the Comet Bay Basketball Club and held a Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council. These activities reflect our ongoing commitment to community involvement and support for important causes.
