Life in Regional Australia is an extraordinary journey, and we're thrilled to have you on board as a valued member of our local community.

With the approaching end of the financial year, it's time to gear up and plan for your upcoming tax and superannuation obligations. The dedicated team at RSM is here to support you every step of the way. We have curated a wealth of insights, updates, and local news to help you face the new financial year with confidence.

This year has been one of significant growth and achievement for RSM Australia. We are proud to announce that we have won the Client Choice Awards for 2024, marking our sixth consecutive year of receiving this honour.

Furthermore, we are delighted to introduce our new in-house economist, Devika Shivadekar. Devika has been diligently monitoring key macroeconomic indicators and has had the pleasure of visiting many RSM offices across Australia to share her insights, including regional areas such as Moora in Western Australia and Toowoomba in Queensland.

Our national growth continues with our national staff numbers surpassing 1,800 and our ranking in the AFR soaring to #7. Additionally, we have bolstered our suite of services in Data & Analytics, Cyber Security, and dedicated ESG Consulting, further solidifying our commitment to providing comprehensive and cutting-edge solutions.

With eye-catching signs and four accountants on most days, Simon has completed the transformation of the Margaret River office.

The Busselton office has also been revamped to make it a more collaborative workspace.RSM has now been serving the region with a local office for more than seven decades. We are excited to continue our direct client service and grow our presence for many years to come.

We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter and find the contents useful and informative. We look forward to working with you in the next financial year and beyond.

Best regards,

TEAM NEWS

Our RSM staff are actively involved in our local community, contributing their time, effort, and skills in various ways.

We take great pride in our continuous support of the Busselton Chamber of Commerce, a business group that brings significant value to our town. Mark Sissoev currently holds the position of Finance Director, a role that an RSM staff member has capably filled for the past 20 years.

After nine years of crunching numbers and keeping things organised at RSM’s Busselton office, Libby Lechte said goodbye to her bookkeeping role in February. She and her hubby Greig are now living the dream, roaming around the country in their cosy caravan.

We also have some new (and familiar!) faces in our Margaret River and Busselton offices.

We extend a warm welcome to our two new graduate accountants: Chanel Mallon, who previously worked as an auditor at a prestigious Big 4 accounting firm and Dubza, a recent graduate from Bhutan who has joined our Margaret River office.

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome back Alesha Scurria to RSM after a two-year hiatus! Alesha's familiarity with our organisation and her previous experience at RSM in Bunbury make her the perfect fit for her new role as Manager at our Busselton office.

Last but not least, Obie Herring has joined us as an intern. His journey with RSM began three years ago when he spent a week with us as a work experience student during high school. Now he’s back for a gap year before embarking on his Commerce studies at UWA in 2025.
