Wow!  We were pleased when Mogoditshane Thamaga Sub District Council gave us an opportunity to conduct enterprise wide risk management training.  We listened to them and understood their budget constraints and designed a risk register based on MS Access for them to commence immediately with recording of risks as and when their various divisions would find them.  The main advantage of our approach was to enable speedier commencement of the risk population process making the consolidation process very easy.  We know that many organizations use MS Excel to record risks but it is not easy to consolidate the risks across departments, although it may be the right choice under budget constraints.  We proved to Mogoditshane Thamage Sub District Council that MS Access is a better alternative.
