Alex Bodden

Managing Partner

Alex is an Assurance Partner and the Managing Partner of the George Town, Grand Cayman office of RSM. He has over 25 years of experience in the audit and finance sector markets in the UK, USA and the Cayman Islands. Alex specializes in providing attest and consulting services to the alternative asset management industry primarily focused on hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity, venture capital and investment management entities. He also advises these clients on financial reporting, accounting policies, internal controls, including due diligence procedures and compliance matters. Alex is a member of the RSM Global Leadership Group for Financial Services.

Alex trained in London UK with PwC and his client industries included Financial Services along with national and international clients in Manufacturing, Aviation and Media/Leisure. Alex spent several years in industry as CFO of a NASDAQ listed client pre and post IPO and was instrumental in taking the client public.  He was responsible for all SEC and NASDAQ statutory reporting, regulatory and compliance matters along with close involvement in secondary offerings and  M&A activity. 

Professional Qualifications and Affiliations

Alex is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA) of which he is a Licensed Practitioner.  He holds an Honours degree in Accounting & Finance from Queen Mary University of London in England.

Community Involvement

Alex has served on several Cayman Islands Government Boards including the Cayman Islands Immigration Board for 6 years. He also served for 4 years as a Director of the Information and Communications Technology Authority, now OfReg, which overseas all regulatory aspects of the ICT industry in the Cayman Islands.
