Philip is a Partner at RSM specializing in the insurance industry where he has extensive experience and knowledge of the accounting and regulatory framework within which insurance businesses operate. His clients have included London Market insurance companies, brokers and other financial intermediaries where he has been responsible for delivering both internal and external audit services. In addition, he has carried out special assignments, including due diligence reviews and regulatory investigations on behalf of Lloyd's and the UK regulator.

Philip has considerable experience of auditing captive insurance companies, both in the Cayman Islands and a number of other jurisdictions, for a number of major international businesses.

Philip has acted as an expert witness, being employed by the Joint Disciplinary Scheme in its review of the audit of Independent Insurance and as expert of quantum for American Reliable where he was responsible for verifying the company's exposure to certain workers' compensation contracts.

Professional affiliations

Philip is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (“ICAEW”) and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants, of which he is a Licensed Practitioner.

Education

Philip attended the University of Manchester in the UK where he gained a degree in Economics and Accounting. He has also completed an MBA, receiving his qualification from the University of Warwick.
