RSM Channel Islands welcomes Barry Curtis to our tax team.

With over 12 years’ experience, Barry started his training as an ACA with the ICAEW in the UK focussing on sole traders and owner managed businesses.  Having been educated in Jersey, Barry returned to the Island to complete his training in the corporate tax team of one of the Big 4.  He was subsequently promoted to senior manager, before moving to run the in-house tax function of a Jersey-based multinational trading group overseeing its global tax compliance obligations and where he addressed the tax aspects of the group’s international acquisitions and disposals.  

Barry specialises in the provision of advisory and compliance services across Jersey and Guernsey’s tax regimes, and the non-resident aspects of the UK tax regime applicable to Channel Island residents.

His experience includes corporate and personal tax compliance, structuring for acquisitions and disposals, tax due diligence, transfer pricing, development and implementation of internal-finance tax functions, and indirect tax compliance.  Barry also advises on inbound relocation considerations for Jersey and Guernsey.
