As an Audit Manager, you will oversee the audit team's work, ensuring that all activities comply with client requirements and statutory audit methodology. You will manage the budgeting, planning, and coordination of engagements, aligning them with both business and statutory audit standards to ensure optimal service delivery and maximize recoverability. Identifying potential risks and control weaknesses will be a key part of your role, as you develop actionable recommendations for process improvements.
You will review and evaluate audit findings, preparing detailed and comprehensive audit reports for management. Consulting with engagement leaders on any independence issues and providing practical business advice will be integral to your role. In addition, you will take a proactive approach in developing business advisory objectives, ensuring the growth and success of client relationships. Finally, you will oversee the implementation of fee billing and collection schedules to minimise work-in-progress and debtors, maintaining financial efficiency and client satisfaction.
Your background and expertise will include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Audit.
- ACCA/ACA qualification and membership certificate.
- Knowledge of IFRS and ISA.
- Previous experience in performing audits for financial institutions will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Experience with relevant software systems.
- Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken).
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong managerial skills.
- Excellent people and communication skills (both written and verbal).
