As a Trainee Auditor, you will assist senior auditors in conducting comprehensive audits of financial statements, internal controls, and accounting processes, gaining valuable hands-on experience. You will collect and analyse data to identify deficient controls, duplicated efforts, fraud, or non-compliance with regulations, ensuring that audits are thorough and accurate. Additionally, you will prepare audit workpapers and help draft audit reports, developing a deep understanding of auditing standards and procedures.
You will work to build a solid understanding of the organisation’s systems, processes, and objectives, ensuring you are aligned with the business's needs. Staying up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation will be crucial, enabling you to contribute effectively to audits while ensuring compliance with current laws and standards. This role will provide you with the foundational experience needed to grow in auditing.
Your background and expertise will include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field.
- Pursuit to complete the ACCA/ACA.
- Fluency in English and Greek (written and spoken).
- Good research skills.
- Good command of Microsoft Office Excel.
- Good analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Pro-active state of mind in developing technical knowledge and understanding of current accounting and audit regulations and issues.
- Confident enough to speak up and bring forward initiatives and suggestions.
- Attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset and being capable of working independently and responsibly.
