In 2024, our commitment to addressing client needs resulted in achieving remarkable growth, both in turnover and number of clients, while we achieved a significant expansion of our team to support them.
At RSM Cyprus, lifelong learning is our priority. Therefore, we encourage our people to attend various subject ranges of training courses and seminars to enrich and enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2024, every team member participated in an average of 40 hours of professional development, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and growth.
Education: Empowering the next generation of leaders
At RSM Cyprus, supporting future leaders is one of our priorities. Our initiatives include participating in career fairs in collaboration with all the prominent public and private Universities in Cyprus, mentoring students on their professional development plans and collaborating in events organised by ACCA and ICAEW.
In fact, in 2024, through our RSM NextGen Leadership program, which has been running for three years now, more than 250 students had the opportunity to gain valuable practical knowledge while testing their skills via case studies developed by our professional team.
In the renowned ICAEW Business Games, we awarded the team that demonstrated the Best Critical Analytical Skills in the required case study. Simultaneously, we supported the first edition of the ACCA—ICPAC JES Business Game, providing the opportunity for a member of the winning team to connect with our professionals and discuss her next career steps.
Additionally, we presented the RSM Award of Excellence to outstanding students who excelled academically at the Cyprus University of Technology and UCLan Cyprus, to support and recognise their efforts and further encourage academic excellence.
Internship Program
This year's summer internship program provided the interns with a totally different experience since they had the opportunity to learn different types of technical and soft skills while experiencing a simulation of a real-case scenario with role-playing and presentations. Per the feedback survey, the satisfaction level reached the outstanding percentage of 96%, with 100% responses, "We will highly recommend it".
Forward Sprint
Antonia Ioannou, one of our talented new-generation auditors, had the opportunity to participate in RSM's Forward Sprint 2024, the exciting, dynamic European cross-border training programme in creativity and innovation that solely focuses on RSM's young talents.
Our People Significant Acknowledgements
George Themistocleous, Managing Partner and CEO at RSM Cyprus was elected Chairman of the AIA Cyprus Management Committee.
Marios Charalambides, Partner, Board Member, and Head of Financial Services at RSM Cyprus, was elected to the CIFA Board of Directors as a Member (with the duties of Treasurer).
We proudly supported the 7th Cyprus International Tax Conference and the 9th Cyprus Professional Services Conference. We were also a Gold Sponsor of the 10th International Funds Summit and Expo and a Silver Sponsor at the CIFA Roadshow in Athens.
These international events allowed us to connect with respected professionals and investors, discuss our points of view and complex questions, and share valuable insights on various business and financial topics.

Our team members engaged through various types of volunteering work to support our community. They provided their help to the local school festival at the School of the Deaf and helped the non-profit organisation "Yparxo" to set up a gym for people with different abilities while joining the team members of the organisation and ran alongside with two members of the organisation to help them reach the finishing line.
Moreover, through various donations, our Firm supported the remarkable work of Europa Donna, Miracle Babies Association (Mora Thavmata), Movember Cyprus, the APOP basketball team, the APOP wheelchair basketball team, Toxotis Charitable Foundation and Yparxo non-profit foundation.
Additionally, we led a second-hand item collection campaign across Cyprus to support the admirable work of the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Association while also still running a blood donation initiative.
We offered pro bono auditing services to the Cyprus Third Age Observatory to enhance its work in supporting older people to remain active and enjoy a balanced way of life, as well as to the Apop Basketball Club to help them raise awareness of how sports can help our body and spirit.

"Cyprus Gen Z - career insights" academic research
To understand more about Cyprus Gen Z expectations, RSM Cyprus, in collaboration with students from the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Management Science at the Cyprus University of Technology, conducted academic research in 2024 titled "Cyprus Gen Z - career insights".
The academic research examines how students in Accounting and Finance and other related disciplines select their profession and the Firm they will cooperate with, as well as how firms in the professional service sector, ICPAC member firms, choose new talents for collaboration in the Cyprus market.
