For another year, RSM Cyprus proudly supported the 8th Cyprus International Tax Conference, held on 11 March 2025 in Nicosia.
The conference is one of the most prominent events on the island for tax professionals, business leaders and governmental tax policymakers to discuss the latest developments in taxation, including the upcoming tax reform and the various changes that have already been published but not yet voted into Law.
As a keynote speaker, Iacovos Themistocleous, Tax Director and Board Member at RSM Cyprus, presented on stage "The Impact of ATAD3 in Cyprus: How the Unshell Directive Will Transform Tax and Business Practices."
In his presentation, he talked about the essence of ATAD3, its effects on Cyprus-based entities and the broader impact on corporate tax planning that may profoundly affect the Cypriot tax landscape, bringing new challenges and opportunities for businesses. He emphasised the importance of businesses adopting a proactive approach since they will need to comply with the new substance requirements and transparency obligations introduced by the directive.

RSM Cyprus – Υπερήφανος υποστηρικτής του 8ου Cyprus International Tax Conference
Για άλλη μια χρονιά, η RSM Cyprus ήταν υπερήφανος υποστηρικτής του 8ο Cyprus International Tax Conference, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 11 Μαρτίου 2025 στη Λευκωσία.
Το συνέδριο είναι ανάμεσα στα σημαντικότερα γεγονότα που πραγματοποιούνται στην Κύπρο καθώς φιλοξενεί διακεκριμένους και ειδικούς αναλυτές του φορολογικού συστήματος και κυβερνητικούς εκπροσώπους. Κατά τη διάρκεια του συνεδρίου οι εκλεκτοί προσκεκλημένοι είχαν την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσουν διακεκριμένους επαγγελματίες να συζητάνε και να ανταλλάσσουν απόψεις για τις τελευταίες εξελίξεις στη φορολογία, συμπεριλαμβανομένου και της επερχόμενης φορολογικής μεταρρύθμισης και των διαφόρων αλλαγών που έχουν ήδη ανακοινωθεί αλλά δεν έχουν οριστικοποιηθεί ακόμη.
Ο Ιάκωβος Θεμιστοκλέους, Tax Director και Board Member της RSM Cyprus, ως κεντρικός ομιλητής στο συνέδριο παρουσίασε τις αλλαγές που φέρνει η οδηγία ATAD3 και τι σημαίνει για την Κύπρο και τις εταιρείες στην χώρα.
Στην παρουσίασή του, μίλησε για την έννοια της «φυσικής παρουσίας - substance» και την επανεξέταση των φορολογικών δεδομένων που θα χρειαστούν να κάνουν οι νομικές οντότητες με έδρα την Κύπρο προκειμένου να συμμορφωθούν με τις νέες απαιτήσεις της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης και της οδηγίας ATAD3. Παράλληλα, ανάφερε ότι είναι σημαντικό οι επιχειρήσεις να υιοθετήσουν μια προορατική προσέγγιση, δεδομένου ότι θα πρέπει να συμμορφωθούν με τις νέες απαιτήσεις που προνοεί η οδηγία ATAD3.
Η RSM Cyprus, ενημερώνεται συνεχώς για τις αλλαγές όπως προκύπτουν από το τοπικό και διεθνείς νομοθετικό φορολογικό πλαίσιο, ενώ παράλληλα παρακολουθεί διαρκώς τα νέα δεδομένα που αφορούν τη φορολογική μεταρρύθμιση στην Κύπρο, προκειμένου να παρέχει καθοδήγηση και προσαρμοσμένες φορολογικές λύσεις στους πελάτες της οι οποίες θα είναι απόλυτα ευθυγραμμισμένες με τις νέες διατάξεις του νόμου.
