Overview of the role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to take on the role of a Group Benefits Administration Specialist in our Payroll Outsourcing Services Department. The position concerns the exclusive provision of services to a specific client, a listed and very reputable group of companies in the Energy Sector, based in Athens.

The Opportunity

The Group Benefits Administration Specialist is responsible for managing the benefits provisions across the organization. This role involves collaborating with HR departments and vendors, preparing various reports, and communicating with employees regarding benefits issues. The role ensures that all systems and files are up-to-date and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Being responsible for the Benefits Management by overseeing the implementation, and administration of benefits programs.
  • Ensuring that benefits practices are compliant with current legislation and aligned with company policies.
  • Collaborating with the payroll team to ensure seamless integration of benefits data into payroll processes where needed.
  • Working closely with HR departments of the group to ensure consistent application of benefits policies.
  • Participating in the assessment and bidding process for new benefits vendors, when needed.
  • Preparing and analyzing reports related to budgets, costs, and payments for benefits programs.
  • Developing forecasts and monitoring spending to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, from onboarding and throughout their employee lifetime. 
  • Maintaining and updating benefits systems and records and ensuring data accuracy and integrity in all HR systems and files.
  • Assisting in internal and external audits related to benefits.
  • Participating in special projects related to benefits as needed.

Required Professional Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in compensation and benefits management.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Communicative written and spoken English
  • Advanced computer capabilities, proficient user of MS Office (mainly Excel)
  • Experience with ERPs (including SAP or similar software).
