Manager, Audit & Assurance

We are looking for a qualified high performing Audit Manager to be involved in providing audit and assurance services to our portfolio of international and local clients for our Audit Department in the Athens office.

Opportunity description

• Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality audit and assurance services are delivered.
• Ensure all audit activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with audit engagements, ensuring all significant risks are addressed.
• Prepare and review detailed audit plans and work, ensuring adherence to the highest technical and professional standards.
• Manage projects to meet financial and quality targets, ensuring high standards, adherence to budgets, timely billing, collection, and on-time completion.
• Lead the preparation of comprehensive engagement plans, setting clear performance standards and objectives.
• Demonstrate a positive, confident, and decisive attitude in communication with colleagues, clients, and Partners.
• Coach colleagues on handling complex and high-risk areas, continually developing their skills through regular and constructive appraisals.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and teamwork to achieve common goals.
• Build and maintain sustainable business relationships by understanding client needs and key risks, delivering added value through a consultative approach.
• Engage in business development activities, identifying opportunities with existing clients and participating in initiatives targeting potential new clients.
• Uphold the highest levels of ethics and integrity, serving as a role model for the team.

Opportunity requirements

• Professional qualification: ACCA or SOEL with signatory rights
• At least 7 years of external audit experience within an international audit firm
• In-depth knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards, Greek Taxation IFRS and ISA rules and regulations
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Excellent IT skills
