RSM India: Giving back to the local community
Goal 3 – Good health and well-being
To give back to local communities, RSM India has engaged in a number of fundraising activities such as donating to worthwhile causes or volunteering to help the underprivileged and society at large.
Key highlights from these activities include:
The Urban Water Project: RSM India contributed towards the Inner Wheel District 314 in order to install a water-cooling system at Dadar Central Station, one of the busiest railway stations in Mumbai. The system dispenses free-of-cost, filtered drinking water – offering citizens and travellers access to clean water. The Inner Wheel Club, part of the International Inner Wheel, is one of the largest women’s service voluntary organisations.
Donation drives: On several occasions, the Firm has initiated donation drives to collect clothes for the underprivileged. These have been held in collaboration with ‘Goonj’ - one of India’s most respectable non-governmental organisations.
Donations to Libraries: In order to promote further education for all, RSM India continuously donates old tax books and journals to various libraries and under-funded educational institutions across India.
The District Urban Medical Project: RSM India are regular contributors to the King George V. Memorial Trust to support the trust’s Senior Citizen’s Day Care Centre, and donate funds to the Cama & Albless Hospital’s Cytology Clinic in Mumbai.
