The group of attendees is made up of a select group of entrepreneurs and executives who are considering doing business in Ireland. DECA is a coalition of local diverse and ethnic Chambers of Commerce in Austin working together to advance economic opportunities for their communities. This trip is an opportunity for DECA members to network with Irish entrepreneurs and business leaders and to learn all about the Irish business environment and to establish if they would like to do business in Ireland.
RSM Ireland and RSM US are co-sponsors of the trip which entails a jam-packed schedule for attendees including information sessions on topics such as the Irish economy, workforce, and transportation; networking events; and visits to local businesses, such as the Pearse Lyons Distillery.

Paddy Stapleton, Head of Tax, RSM Ireland stated that: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring this exciting week of events for Austin’s Diversity Ethnic Chamber Alliance. This is a great opportunity to showcase Ireland’s attractive business environment and to provide support and advice to businesspeople that have an interest in establishing a presence here, or in doing business with Ireland.”
John McCourt, Partner, RSM US: “RSM US are delighted to bring Austin’s Diversity Ethnic Chamber Alliance to Ireland to show them why Ireland is such a great place to do business and to show how global the RSM network truly is. At RSM, we know that starting operations in another jurisdiction can be complicated which is why we set up our RSM US LLP’s Ireland Practice which works jointly with RSM Ireland’s US Desk, with a singular combined purpose of delivering the power of being understood, regardless of time zones or international borders.”
Tina Cannon, President & CEO, Austin LGBT Chamber stated that: “Ireland is known for its great business climate and is a global destination for entrepreneurs and enterprises looking to grow. We are excited to be in Dublin and to experience firsthand all the city has to offer. We are grateful to RSM for supporting us and making this trip happen.”
