Tom Pugh

Economist

Tom Pugh is RSM UK and RSM Ireland’s resident economist, delivering economic insight for businesses operating within the real economy. He works closely with RSM partners across the UK, Ireland, Australia and the US, to monitor global economic conditions and how they could affect local markets.

In 2009 Tom graduated from the University of Manchester and joined HM Treasury in the middle of the financial crisis. He then spent eight years at Capital Economics, where he first covered commodities, then the UK economy in the wake of Brexit and the onset of the pandemic.

When not rising at dawn to monitor the economy, Tom can be found out on the rugby pitch or grilling on one of his growing collection of barbeques.
