BIOGRAPHY

Anston is a licensed tax practitioner under Section 153 of the Income Tax Act 1967 with extensive experience in Malaysian corporate tax compliance and advisory serving a diversified portfolio of clients, both local and international.

He was previously attached to 3 of the Big Four accounting firms in Malaysia for 15 years prior to joining RSM Tax.

He is also a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM).

Anston has been actively assisting corporate clients and high net worth individuals with tax audits and investigations, tax appeals (including attending to dispute resolutions and Special Commissioners of Income Tax matters) and conducting tax health checks.

In addition, he was also involved in numerous tax advisory engagements – in the areas of corporate tax, due diligence, cross border transactions, Real Property Gains Tax, stamp duty, incentive applications and Transfer Pricing.

He has assisted clients with the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and advised on GST related matters. With the introduction of the mandatory implementation of e-Invoicing, he is working with both local and international corporations on their e-Invoicing implementation projects.

Anston has conducted various tax seminars, workshops and trainings to clients and public.
