RSM, the leading global assurance, tax and consulting services provider to middle market businesses, has provided dedicated support to more than 130 community causes around the world.

As part of RSM World Day, which sees the network celebrate its common purpose, RSM member firms have mobilised their teams to participate in volunteering activities within their local communities.

This year, more than 30,000 members of the RSM family are working to maximise their member firms’ impact in support of 132 community projects. Examples of the RSM network’s efforts in action include:

  • The RSM team in Austria providing pro-bono accounting, tax and compliance services to non-profit organisations focusing on the welfare and good health of children, the elderly and those experiencing economic hardship.
  • A programme launched by the Eastern Africa  team to plant more than 200 trees in Nairobi.
  • In Japan , an RSM team’s participation in FIT (Financial Industry in Tokyo for Charity Run) is seeing it fundraise for food banks and associations supporting children.
  • RSM’s firm in Lebanon  provision of vital resources and support to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) aiding displaced families.
  • 70 offices across the US, Canada, India and El Salvador participating in the Power of Love, RSM US ’s largest volunteering programme, to support youth-focused charities.

This adds to work of RSM’s member firms which are committed to delivering Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies and supporting programmes tailored for their local communities.

A further demonstration of RSM’s dedication to giving back to the community is its global commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). This year, the organisation aligned with the UN’s International Volunteering Day, also held annually on 5th December.

EJ Nedder, Chief Executive Officer, at RSM International, said:

“At RSM, we understand the importance of creating lasting value and impact not only for our colleagues and clients but also by caring for our local communities.

“On RSM World Day, whilst we recognise the work of the RSM family, we also celebrate our diverse culture, empowering each member firm to find the best way to give back to communities in ways that truly matter to them.”
