RSM, the leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services to middle-market businesses, has today announced revenues of US$39.4mn in Africa for the 12 months to December 2024*.

The results amount to year-on-year growth of 17%.

RSM in Africa achieved double-digit growth across all service lines, driven by the agility and responsiveness of its Member Firms in seizing new opportunities. Strategic development of new and existing technology which included increased focus on data analytics to enhance insights and operational efficiency, has driven this growth. including the maximised use of a tax app in Eastern Africa.

Cross-border collaboration continues to underpin RSM Africa’s success. The transfer pricing hub based at RSM Eastern Africa1 has enabled member firms to deliver high-margin compliance services to meet clients’ expectations. Further consulting capabilities has been strengthened with the creation of a Regional Development Consulting Hub operating from RSM Mozambique2.

Regional fee income for tax services rose by an impressive 31%. Growing demand for consulting services, marking a 17% increase from the previous year, driven by the increasing sophistication of economies across Africa and improvements in governance standards.

A strong financial year in Africa adds to RSM’s global success, with the global organisation announcing worldwide revenues of US$10 billion for the 12 months to December 2024**.

The results amount to year-on-year growth of 6% and make RSM only the sixth global accounting network to exceed combined fees of $10 billion.

Global fee income for assurance services grew 15% to US$3.2bn, while RSM’s tax revenues rose by 11% to US$2.9bn, marking a second year in succession of double-digit growth. Global consulting revenue remained consistent with US$3.9bn, proving to be RSM’s strongest performing service line overall for a third year in a row.
