Candice Eaton Gaul
Global Leader – Diversity & Inclusion

Biography

Based in Brisbane, Australia, Candice (Candy) Eaton Gaul joined the Global executive Office in August 2019 as the Global Diversity & Inclusion Leader. With the positive effect that diversity and inclusion have on business performance and innovation, Candy is passionate about leading new initiatives that will strengthen the ongoing development of diversity and inclusion within the RSM Network.

Prior to her role as Global Diversity & Inclusion Leader at the Global Executive Office, Candy was employed by RSM South Africa in the position of Regional Divisional Director as Head of HR & Labour Consulting. In this role, Candy held responsibility for the Firm’s national Human Resources strategic objectives and operational requirements, as well as serving local and multinational clients in the specialist areas of human resources and labour consulting.

The strategic focus of this role as Global Diversity & Inclusion Leader is centred around inclusion with the purpose of enhanced employee engagement, such that the human factor is highly valued in an increasingly digital world. This is particularly important in a relationship based professional services environment. To do this effectively, it means understanding the individual experience, creating opportunities for colleagues to contribute in a way that is meaningful to them and valuable to RSM. This fosters a good understanding of RSM from a global perspective with endless opportunities that exist now and enables professional development and career aspirations in the future for RSM professionals within the RSM global community.

"I am an ardent believer in the critical role that D&I plays in facilitating a culture of personal growth, connectedness and belonging, while simultaneously advancing organisational priorities, helping it to meet the needs of our clients, and having a positive impact on families and local communities. Enabling others to own and drive the diversity agenda creates a far more sustainable movement than that created by any one individual.”

Outside of work I love being outdoors and exploring nature with my family and badly behaved dog. My other interests are, art, reading, photography, ornithology, sociology, scuba diving and unsuccessful home renovations.
