RSM International, the global audit tax and consulting network focused on the middle market, has appointed Bob Dohrer as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the network with effect from 1 October, 2020.
Dohrer was part of the Global Executive Office team between 2012 and 2018 where he had overall responsibility for RSM’s audit and other attest services, policies, procedures and guidance, before leaving RSM to take up the role of Chief Auditor at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). His knowledge of the global audit, tax and consulting marketplace, as well as his deep understanding of the RSM network, make him an ideal candidate for this role.
Ranked 6th globally with $5.74bn fee income across more than 120 countries, the creation of a new COO role is a key development for RSM, reflecting the significant progression of the network and designed to enable faster advancement of RSM’s dynamic growth strategy.
Jean Stephens Chief Executive Officer of RSM International said:
“I am delighted to welcome Bob back to RSM in this new COO role. As RSM’s growth and development continues, our internal infrastructure also needs to move forward so that we can continue to develop and fully realise our vision. As COO, Bob will work closely with me to help drive RSM’s strategic plan and central activities.
“He will also assume management of a number of the Global Executive Office functions for the network, including regional and operational support, the leadership groups and Centres of Excellence, member relations, legal, brand and digital, IT and marketing communications.”
Dohrer commented:
“I am honoured to be returning to RSM’s Global Executive Office team to be part of an organisation which is market leading in its support for middle market businesses globally and in the delivery of excellence in audit, tax and consulting services globally.”
