Samee Ullah

Samee joined RSM Pakistan in 2017. After working his way through the ranks of the firm he became a Director in the Audit and Assurance team in 2020. Since then, he has also been working as ‘Global Firm Relationship Manager’ and ‘Ethics & Independence Champion’ for the firm.

The following year he was appointed as ‘Head of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)’. In 2023, he was promoted as Partner.

In his role as Head of IFRS, he collaborates with Audit & Assurance partners to navigate new / complex IFRS pronouncements and amendments.

As ‘Global Firm Relationship Manager’ and Ethics & Independence Champion, he teams up with the Head of Ethics & Independence for firm-wide implementation and monitoring of:

  • RSM InTrust – Global Relationship Management Portal;
  • Ethics and Independence Policies; and  
  • Quality Assurance and Risk Containment Policies.

As a Partner in Audit & Assurance Department, his responsibilities include managing transnational and economically significant engagements, business development and performance of quality control inspections.

Samee is intrigued with tackling complexities, and keeping himself updated on regulations and industry standards. He is driven by a desire to mitigate risks and contribute to the firm’s success by providing valuable insights and recommendations. 

Samee is also passionate about the mentoring aspect of his work in assisting the new generation of auditors in dealing with challenges and advancements in the field of audit & assurance.

Outside of work Samee likes to spend time with his family and loves to travel. He’s very competitive and enjoys playing sports, especially chess, snooker and table tennis.
