SME Sustainability Reporting Programme

RSM Singapore has partnered with Enterprise Singapore on the SME Sustainability Reporting Programme (SME SRP) to help non-listed small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore in preparing their first sustainability reports.

The SME Sustainability Reporting Programme (SME SRP) assists Singapore SMEs in developing their first sustainability reports by helping them identify material areas, collect data based on the identified material areas, and draft reports aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and IFRS ISSB Standards, including Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reporting frameworks, and any other relevant sustainability disclosure standards.

While SMEs are not currently mandated to report, catalysing sustainability practices and disclosures will raise the profile of Singapore’s SMEs, making them more competitive regionally and globally.

However, due to the scale and diversity of the industry in general, many SMEs often cite costs, limited knowledge, and lack of demand as challenges in their sustainability journeys.

This 3-year partnership tackles these challenges by combining RSM’s sustainability expertise and proven track record with SMEs, alongside Enterprise Singapore’s developmental support and funding capabilities.

Through a structured one year, 4-stage sustainability reporting program, RSM Singapore will work with SMEs to design a sustainability strategy and framework that aligns with the latest sustainability standards and regulations. This includes facilitating workshops to establish baselines on sustainability and climate topics, developing appropriate policies and targets, and documenting disclosures.

Under the funding support of the SME SRP with Enterprise SG, SMEs will pay:

  • 30% if they sign up between Nov 2024 to March 2026, and
  • 50% if they sign up from April 2026 until the program concludes in Oct 2027.
