Alijon's career within RSM Tajikistan has been marked by increasing responsibility and leadership. Starting as a Senior Consultant in 2015, he played a key role in various consulting projects, including organizational assessments, operational improvements, and performance reviews. He also demonstrated a talent for knowledge sharing by leading the development of training programs and providing coaching and mentoring to staff.  This dedication to leadership and expertise led to his well-deserved promotion to Consulting Manager. In this new role, Alijon's responsibilities expanded to leading both national and international teams while continuing to spearhead assessments, training development, and staff mentorship.  His achievements culminated in a promotion to Partner within the Consulting service line in 2022, solidifying his position as a leader within RSM Tajikistan.

Prior to joining RSM Tajikistan and embarking on a successful consulting career, Alijon meticulously built a strong foundation in financial analysis, auditing, and risk management. This groundwork began in 2014 at Deloitte & Touche, where he took on the role of Junior Economist/Financial Analyst. During this time, he honed his analytical skills by delving into the complexities of state-owned enterprise governance and financial risks. This exposure to the inner workings of such organizations likely proved invaluable, providing him with a critical lens that would benefit him immensely in future consulting endeavours. Following his time at Deloitte & Touche, Alijon transitioned to Grant Thornton as an Auditor. Here, he further diversified his skillset by participating in financial statement audits that adhered to both national and international standards.

In his current role as Partner, Consulting Services, Alijon spearheads public sector engagements financed by leading institutions like the EBRD, World Bank, and ADB.  His expertise spans a diverse range of sectors, including finance, solid waste management, water resources, transportation, information technology, labour reform, and education.  Through his leadership, Alijon is demonstrably making a significant impact on the development of Tajikistan across various critical sectors. Alijon also leads donor-funded audits and assurance services for NGOs and public sector organizations financed by international agencies like USAID, UNDP, Global Fund, BmZ and others. This leadership role demonstrates his ability to navigate the complexities of international financial regulations and ensure compliance for organizations working with these vital donor funds.
