Current role

Baasab is a Partner for RSM United Arab Emirates (UAE). He is responsible for providing Audit, Assurance and Advisory services to national and international clients. Moreover, he is the RSM Middle East and North Africa (MENA) sector leader for Hospitality & Leisure services. He is also a lead representative with the RSM Global Private Client Services Group (PCS), promoting the business to Financial Intermediaries. Before joining RSM UAE in 2013, Baasab worked for Ernst & Young, Dubai, for over eighteen (18) years.

Baasab has almost thirty (30) years of Audit, Assurance and Advisory expertise. He has significant experience providing Audit & Assurance Services to regulated companies registered with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Furthermore, he is an authorised RSM UAE Audit Principal with the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA)-Abu Dhabi Global Market.

Baasab provides services to multi-national and private clients in the MENA region. While specialising in Financial Services and Hospitality & Leisure, he takes a client-focused approach and has the technical skills, knowledge and ideas to provide clients value in most industries. When serving clients from the Financial Services sector, he mainly deals with Insurance and Re-Insurance Companies, Insurance Intermediaries, Asset Managers, Wealth Advisors, Fund Managers and Funds.
