Larissa Lai is a Partner in the Brisbane R&D Tax division, specialising in Innovation and Incentives. With over 12 years of expertise in Research and Development (R&D) tax incentives, Larissa is a trusted adviser to businesses navigating the complexities of the Australian innovation landscape.

Larissa started out wanting to be a doctor, so she pursued a biomedical degree. After a change of heart, she switched to law and ended up in R&D which she says is the perfect combo of her science and law background. Larissa joining RSM says this is her full circle moment as Steve hired her as a grad 12 years ago.

At RSM, Larissa works closely with businesses to help them access the Australian R&D Tax Incentive. She loves identifying and maximising eligible R&D activities to secure valuable tax offsets. Her passion is turning innovative ideas into commercial products, especially in the life sciences sector. Larissa is dedicated to helping life science companies bring their clinical assets to patients, making a big impact on healthcare.
