Yesterday, RSM, the sixth largest independent audit, tax and consulting network, celebrated its sixth annual RSM World Day. “RSM World Day” is a global celebration of shared vision, values and goals during which RSM’s 41,400 professionals in 120 countries around the world celebrate being part of RSM with their colleagues, clients and communities.
“Innovation through Collaboration” was the theme of RSM World Day 2017. RSM firms from around the globe came together to explore ways to create an environment within each firm that is conducive to innovation. September is also RSM’s global innovation month, where employees across the world are encouraged to look for new opportunities to improve the way they work and how they service clients.
Through a wide variety of different activities staff in RSM firms united in colleague, client and charity events to celebrate RSM’s distinguishing beliefs of collaborative working, deep individual understanding, idea and insight sharing for the benefit of clients.
RSM World Day 2017 follows a strong 12 months for RSM, as the network not only grew the number of firms but also its global fee income, reporting 7.6% for the year ending 31 December 2016[1]. More than 70% of RSM firms reported growth[2].
Global Innovation Competition is being held between RSM member companies during the month of September for the purpose of introducing innovation-driven corporate culture and creative thinking within the global network. The contest aims to create something new that will benefit both RSM network and its partner companies.
Giorgi Kvinikadze, General Director of RSM Georgia noted: “This year RSM World Day represents an opportunity for us to become more closely integrated into the global network and develop innovative corporate culture in our member companies all over the world. RSM Georgia has joined the global initiative and in the frame of RSM World Day’s employee activities we held the so called "Brainstorming" games. The day was spent on Bazaleti Lake where many fun and interesting activities were performed by employees in the scope of the main theme. Teambuilding activities were intended for the inspiration and encouragement of innovative thinking within employees”.
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International said: “RSM World Day has always been a celebration of our network’s shared values, and this year, building on five years of experience, RSM World Day championed something different – innovation. I am proud of the charitable work that our member firms have undertaken over the past six years in honour of RSM World Day and particularly this year, as I see firms conducting charity work in new, innovative ways.”
Within the framework of the project and to celebrate RSM World Day, RSM Georgia has partnered with I. Vekua 42nd Public School of Physics and Mathematics to support development of innovative thinking within school students. The project "Become innovative with RSM" is a competition on the given theme for the 12th grade students. 1st and 2nd place winners will be revealed at the end of December 2017 and be awarded with a financial prize for funding the University tuition fee.
Alexander Gomiashvili, General Director of "Creditinfo Georgia" said: “We, as a client company of RSM Georgia and its sub-brand RSM Georgia Solutions, are pleased that RSM promotes education and development of innovative and creative thinking in youth, cares about creating the environment where new ideas will be recognized, rewarded and leveraged. The involvement of RSM in this field is important for us due to the fact that we have a reliable financial and technological partner in their face, with whom we can jointly work on both financial and accounting as well as on innovative projects, such as recently implemented project of RSM Georgia Solutions on achieving high level of automation by establishing financial and billing management in a unified system”.
