Alison Hodgson

Alison is a Consulting Partner of Transformation, HR and Change at RSM Ireland.

A graduate of The Queen’s University of Belfast, Alison has a BA Hons Psychology and MSc Occupational Psychology.

Alison has over 20 years HR experience through a portfolio career of consultancy and C-suite positions across a range of sectors including retail, technology, telecoms, food and drink, financial services and a commercial semi-state. Her expertise spans the entire range of human resources,  learning and development, and organisational development within organisations. Alison has led significant change projects in the areas of cultural engagement, re-structuring, talent attraction and development, transformation and industrial relations on an Ireland, UK and pan- European basis. 


Alison is an active member of the HR community across Ireland and the UK. She was awarded Chartered Companion status with Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in 2021, sat on CIPD Ireland’s National Committee and is Chairperson of CIPD Ireland LTD Board. She was also recognised as one of the 'Top 50 Most Influential CHROs in Ireland' in 2024. 


Further to this, Alison has held a number of non-executive director or voluntary positions including Chair of Women in Retail (Retail Excellence Ireland), Chair of Pension Committee (IBEC), Board member of Dublin Simon and Chair of Institute of Student Employers (formerly AGR).

Her personal motto is “think, lead and do” and has been described as “a true HR leader, Alison is a driving force in the HR community bringing diverse people, practices and thought leadership together to build great HR insight.”
