ABOUT KAREN

Karen has over seven years of professional experience in the fields of business continuity, information security, IT assurance, compliance management, and managed IT services. Classified under these are projects she has handled for Clients with diverse industries, including financial services, holdings, distribution, and the professional services, manufacturing, telecommunications, retail, electric corporations, and travel industries.

Karen has led project teams in the establishment of Clients’ business continuity and information security management systems, including its policies, standards, guidelines, and corresponding strategic plans, as well as obtained project management skills in the implementation of the established management systems. She has also gained substantial experience in the management and assessment of IT organizational structures, systems, and processes, business process reviews, ERP system implementation, IT consulting services, internal audits, data privacy compliance assessments, and ISO 27001 certification readiness assessments.

She currently leads the establishment of the Firm’s Resilience Management Practice and is a core team member of the Firm’s Digital Trust Services Practice Area.

Karen is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a Certified ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System Lead Implementer, a passer of the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System Lead Audit Examination, and was the recipient of Reyes Tacandong and Co.’s Abacus Award for Client Servicing (Advisory) in 2020. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from Divine Word College of Legazpi, where she graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian.
