At its session held on February 10, 2022, the Government of the Republic of Serbia passed the Decree on Amendments to the Decree on Harmonization of the Nomenclature of the Customs Tariff for 2022 (hereinafter: amendments to CT2022).

The legal basis for the adoption of this regulation is Article 3, paragraph 8 of the Law on Customs Tariff ("Official Gazette of RS", No. 62/2005, 61/2007, 5/2009, 95/2018 - other law and 91/2019 ), according to which the Government, by Decree no later than November of the current year for the next year, harmonizes the nomenclature of the Customs Tariff with the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union, which will be applied to the classification of products in the Customs Tariff. In addition to the nomenclature, the Decree also covers the rates, ie the amount of customs duties determined by this Law, ie concluded free trade agreements, applied to the harmonized nomenclature.

The Basic Decree on the harmonization of the nomenclature of the Customs Tariff for 2022 ("Official Gazette of the RS", No. 121/2021) was adopted at the session held on November 25, 2021 and has been in force since January 1, 2022. Thus, the national nomenclature is harmonized with the HS nomenclature - version HS2022 and the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union for 2022 - CN2022.

Amendments to CT2022 relate to:

  • Numerical codes, designations, units of measure or preferential rates for certain tariff codes referred to in Chapters 2, 3, 5, 8, 15, 22, 24, 29, 39, 44, 64, 70, 73, 82, 84, 85, 87 , 90 and 94 Customs Tariffs,
  • Note 12 to Chapter 85,
  • Correlation table CT2021 - CT2022 i
  • Tables with quotas for imports from the Republic of Turkey and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Amendments to CT2022 shall enter into force on the eighth day from the day of their publication in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia".
