ABOUT JOYCE

Joyce has over 16 years of experience in the accounting profession. She has an in-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), JSE listing requirements, International Standards on Auditing (ISA), Public Finance Management Act and other laws and regulatory requirements.

Joyce started her career in 2005 as a trainee accountant and qualified as a CA(SA) in 2007. Her initial experience in external audit was mainly obtained in the public sector and limited private sector clients. She worked at one of the big four firms 11.5 years, working her way up to Associate Director within the external audit practice. She then diversified her experience for 2.5 years by joining the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA) as an Investigator.

She then moved to Ngubane, where she was appointed as a director and was responsible for Risk, Compliance and Ethics and was an Exco Member.

Joyce currently heads up Strategic Quality, Risk and Ethics at RSM, overseeing compliance and quality management at the firm and ensuring engagement levels meet quality standards. She also oversees the ethics management function within the firm, which includes managing the ethics hotline, ethics investigations, training on ethics and day-to-day ethics management.
