Jorge Ruano

Jorge Ruano is a partner at RSM.

During his 23 years working in the audit and assurance practice, Jorge has developed strong technical skills, leading the audit process and communication with executives and the Board of Directors of local clients in Spain, including listed entities. He also provides audit services with the highest standards of quality to leading global clients with significant operations in Spain, providing relevant information and continuous communication to group management and central audit teams.

He has provided his services to middle market and global clients in various reporting environments, including audits under US GAAP, PCAOB, IFRS, International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local GAAP.

Prior to joining RSM Spain, Jorge was a partner at PwC, where he served domestic and global clients in various industry sectors, including retail and consumer goods, paper manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals and engineering. He worked in three different offices, including 2 years as an expatriate in Amsterdam, where he was mainly assigned to international clients.

He holds a Degree in Economics from the Universidad de Córdoba. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Auditing from Universidad de Alcalá de Henares and has completed the Management Development Programme at ESADE.

He is also registered in the Official Registry of Auditors in Spain (ROAC) and is a member of the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountants.
