Marc Gallardo is a partner at RSM and specialises in Digital Law, IT/IP and Data Protection.

He specialises in matters related to Internet Law; e-Commerce; information technology; online marketing and social networks; telecommunications; privacy and data protection; intellectual and industrial property and entrepreneurship in businesses related to new technologies.

Since 2012, Marc has been certified by IAPP as a privacy expert in Europe and the United States (CIPP / E and CIPP / US).

Marc is the author of numerous articles and publications related to the Law on New Technologies and Data Protection from 1999 to the present, and a regular speaker at conferences and courses on Technology Law, with special emphasis on robotics law and data protection.

Currently, Marc is director for Privacy and Data Protection at the UIA and president of the TIC Section of the Barcelona Bar Association.

Since 2012, Marc has been identified by Who’s Who Legal as one of the world’s leading Internet, e-commerce and data protection lawyers.

During his professional career, Marc has passed through Pappalardo & Associati, Jimenez de Parga Asociados, Mazars, Brugueras, García-Bragado, Molinero, Alliant Abogados and Lexing Spain, before joining RSM as a Partner.

He holds a Law Degree from Pompeu Fabra University, a Master’s Degree in European Legal Studies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a Master’s Degree in Internet Law from the University of Valencia and a US Law degree from George Washington University.

Furthermore, he is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association, LEXING (international network of lawyers dedicated to technology law), IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), UIA (International Union of Lawyers) and ISACA, Barcelona Chapter.
